yes. start with the offers that come in the mail if you receive them. also, it would be nice too if you could speak with someone from the bank on the phone. just be nice and polite, tell them you%26#039;ve been very good and paying your bills on time, and now finally you%26#039;re debt free. if that doesnt work, try a secured credit card. they require you to put in a deposit in the first few months but when they see you%26#039;re not a risk they will turn that into an unsecured credit card.

Just get along without one. All this credit rating stuff can do is get us dependent on these companies. And they get rich off of us. Check out the credit reporting agencies, they only take credit cards as payment.

Alot depends on %26quot;your debts%26quot;. Are they with collection agency%26#039;s? Are they with the original creditor in good standing? etc., etc., etc.

If they are with the original creditor and in good standing, yes, you probably will be able to recieve a credit card.

If they are bad debts with a collection agency and you pay them off without requesting that they pay for delete, they will probably remain on your reports and hinder your chances of recieving credit.
