Credit Card Due Date!!?

I have a credit card with US Bank that is in their collections dept (not an outside agency). I have been paying thru a debt consolidation program $77 a month.

Problem: While I was being set up on the program I incurred late chrgs %26amp; overlimit fees totaling $308! Now on my credit report it shows me being 30-45 days past due because of this $308 I have contacted the US Bank personally and they stated that my due date is the 20th of each month (problem here is that I get paid on the 15th-my payment to them is taken out on the 17th-and the program mails the payment to them 5 days after it%26#039;s deducted from my account so around the 23rd my payment is recieved by US Bank)-thus according to US Bank making me late each month causing my CR to show 30-45days late. US Bank will not change my due date while in collections and in order for me to get it back to the regular cust svc dept I have to be pay off $308 to be current in order to change my due date, but I can%26#039;t make a lump sum pymt

Your best bet is to try to contact USBank and ask to speak to a MANAGER. The people who work the collections cannot assist you, but sometimes a manager can make an exception to the rule given the specific situation -- if you can find a way to pay them ABOVE the $77 per month for a few months (i.e. have the auto withdrawl taken out and then pay an additional $30 for 11 months if you can.)

Note: If you do talk to a manager, please get their full name and title, and write down any verbal agreements with time and date, so you can refer back to your notes if necessary.

Unless you can somehow borrow either from a friend, a paycheck advance, or if you have a 401K -- this would be a legitimate reason to borrow.

Make one payment on your own in addition to the consolidation program payment. That will cover your current month%26#039;s payment and make your next debt consolidation payment almost a month before the due date. Then, save up some money to pay the $308.

I%26#039;m so sorry to hear that you are fed up with your credit card company. This is why I have not been using my credit card unless it is used for emergencies only. Today I have no credit card bill to worry about.

Credit Card Due Date!!?

Welcome to the world of CATCH 22 I%26#039;m not sure but I suspect that you are dealing with the Bank directly, I%26#039;d say let your condsolidation program contact them they more-than-likely have access to sources within the bank that you can%26#039;t get to. Just a guess but worth a try. Otherwise you%26#039;re definitely in between a rock and a hard place because each month those late charges are going to keep going up. I assume there were other bills that are being paid off without this problem so it appears that%26#039;s possible to do.

Give it a try at least contact the consolidation program and see what they can do.

You are on a computer today so I%26#039;ll assume that you have internet access. ;)

You should be paying your bill online, no problem with mailing your checks then. You can link your bank account DIRECTLY to the credit card company. You should be paying your credit card debt down before the due date. If you get paid the 15th, send the payment on the 15th. Whatever program you are currently using just aint cutting the mustard.

If you can%26#039;t pay your bill online with your credit card, get a new credit card, any financial company that isn%26#039;t doing business on the internet is NOT one you should be involved with.
