Should I opt out of credit card offers?

I am in college with a cruel joke of an income, aside from student loans, I have no debt.

Of course, I am also getting a million %26quot;pre-screened%26quot; credit card offers in the mail.

I read at the bottom of one of these letters that I can call a number to opt out or getting these credit card offers.

Is it wise to opt out of getting them, or will I miss some sort of great deal?

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

The opt out option only works for 5-years.

This will remove your name from the national mailing list for 5-years and then it will go back on. By that time you will be out of school.

You might want to go ahead and get 1 or 2 credit cards first and then opt out. Just use them for everyday things never exceed 30% of your credit limit in any given month and pay in full before the due date.

If you do this, when you get out of school and want to finance something you will have a killer credit score.

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

You can opt out if you want, there is nothing negative that will happen. Plus if you want a credit card you can look for one online.

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

No, not completely but I suggest that you are very selective. You can review the interest rates and notice if they are variable or fixed. Sometimes it is best to keep a credit card until the %26quot;12 months no interest%26quot; (r whatever the promo may be) expires and then call and cancell it. This eliviates addt%26#039;l ad uneeded spending. Also, Keep your limitlow and pay the card off as soon as you make a purchase. This will all help! =)

Believe me many people have different opinions about credit cards but if you get a credit card trust me it will DESTROY your credit badly and you will be in a bad situation for years to come.

Please take my advice, IF YOU CAN%26#039;T PAY CASH THEN DON%26#039;T BUY IT!!!!!!

My opinion

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

No never opt out. Opting out just allows the company to sell your name to other companies and you will get even more requests.

It is just thier way to see if you are really getting these requests. They will never stop sending them.

Just throw them away if you arent interested.

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

it would be wise to Opt out, because it decreases the chance of identity thief. you can always just browse and get the credit card you want online. no need for offers because its not always the best you can get.

If you want to opt out, just call them @ 1 888 567 8688. You can always apply for a credit card later.

Should I opt out of credit card offers?

If you don%26#039;t want to be bothered with destroying these offers so they don%26#039;t fall into the wrong hands then opt out. I have a paper shredder and can safely get rid of these. Opting out now will not hurt you when your ready to be responsible for a card, you can apply then.
