Card company was notified of the death AND a death cert. sent to them. The card company referred the debt to a collection co. Now it%26#039;s with an estate collection company who is saying if there was a temp. administrator, there %26quot;had%26quot; to be an estate. In our state a temp. adminis is needed to turn the utilities off. Who are these %26quot;thugs%26quot; and what can we do?

Bear in mind that companies like these have several departments who do not seem to communicate with each other.

Keep all the details (times and names and what was said) and have a word with a journalist or two. Going to the press is a good way to force these companies to sort themselves out.

it used to be like this...when you die your debts die with you,but not anymore,when my mother died she owed loads on hire purchases,we told them she had died but they still wanted there money,so we had to pay them off before they took us to court,they are so heartless as long as they are getting there money they arnt bothered
